The classes were all given a task of producing a presentation on a capital city - they had to use the internet to research 3 places to see or things to do, a place to stay and a place to eat in the city. They then had to use MS Powerpoint to create their presentation. And all of this had to be done in 25-30 minutes!

Great idea Mr Alexander. As you are aware, at my school the S2 course is really a Computing taster course, but I am sure that after some comments made by our HMIe Inspector we will have the opportunity to have taster modules for S3 Administration and S3 Accounting & Finance.
I like the World Cities idea! I have been dabbling with City Breaks for the Travel Unit in S4 Administration as we still do Standard Grade, but perhaps some similar short 2-3 period activity would go down well.
